Packfinder™ Assessment: Overview
The Packfinder™ assessment has been redesigned in December 2024 to deliver a more comprehensive and reliable evaluation of job candidates. It measures 18 distinct personality traits across six groups (factors), offering a broader and more detailed profile than the previous version, which measured only six traits.
What’s Measured?
The new assessment evaluates traits grouped into factors. These are:
Conscientiousness
Agreeableness
Honesty
Emotional Stability
Openness
Extraversion.
These traits are chosen for their relevance to workplace behaviour and job performance, providing meaningful insights into candidates’ strengths and compatibility with specific roles.
About the assessment
The assessment consists of 172 questions and takes 15-17 minutes to complete on average.
Job applicants are requested to complete the assessment shortly after they have applied to your job opening.
One question consists of a short statement referring to the candidate's personality or behaviour, and they need to select how much they agree or disagree with the statement. Example:

Trait Measurement
Each individual trait is measured on a standardized scale from 0 to 10, simplifying interpretation. Higher scores consistently indicate a stronger fit for desirable traits.
Overall Score
The Overall score refers to the Candidate's assessment results compared to the selected Benchmark in the specific Job opening. Learn more about Benchmarks here.
Candidness Score
This metric aims to suggest how truthfully and authentically an Applicant answered the questions, rather than trying to overly impress the employer. A higher Candidness Score (closer to 100) suggests that the Applicant answered truthfully and authentically. There are 6 marking questions in the assessment that are specifically designed by pre-employment assessment experts for this purpose. Learn more about how to interpret this core here.
Time to Complete metrics
The time an Applicant took to complete the assessment is shown on the top of their Packfinder™ score overview. This shows if the Applicant needed too little or too much time to go through all the questions.
User-Friendly Design
Candidates now complete the assessment one question at a time in an interactive interface, reducing cognitive load and improving the completion rate. The total assessment time is approximately 10–12 minutes, balancing thoroughness and efficiency.
